Welcome to Cedar City Junior Ballet!
Cedar City Junior Ballet gave it’s debut performance of "Coppelia" six years ago. It was met with great support and wonderful reviews. Since that time we have performed a full length, classical ballet at least once every year. Our goal is to enrich the community arts by maintaining the highest standards of classical ballet, and performing the purest ballets, most of which have been in existence for over one hundred years. The choreography for these ballets has been passed down from ballet company to ballet company, and it is our mission to recreate and preserve these classical ballets in their purest form.
Currently in our repertoire are four well-loved classical ballets: The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Coppelia and A Midsummers Night Dream.
Cedar City Junior Ballet always holds OPEN auditions and invites the entire community to participate in these beautiful productions. We say "audition" but we never turn anyone away, even if they’ve never danced a step in their life. Our ballets are open to all people from four years old to one hundred and four years old - with or without ANY previous dance training. There is always someplace and some way for anyone who’s ever wanted to be on stage to become a part of our productions.
