MEET THE CAST
DELAINEY BOUDREAU (13) Delainey first stepped onto the dance floor at the age of three. Ten years later, she continues to love the fun of expressing oneself, learning about production characters, and challenging herself through ballet. Delainey has performed in several productions and is most proud of her role, Clara, in The Nutcracker. Delainey was accepted into Ballet West’s Summer Intensive Program and looks forward to starting rehearsals for the next production.
EVELYN DODDS (16) Evelyn stepped into the ballet studio for the first time when she was two years old. Fourteen years later, she enjoys making connections with dancers, performing in CCJB’s productions, and learning new skills through classes and rehearsals. Evelyn has performed the role of Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Spanish Dance and Chinese Dance in The Nutcracker, and the Fairy of Musicality in The Sleeping Beauty. Her dream role is Odile in Swan Lake. Evelyn was recently accepted into Ballet West’s Summer Intensive Program and is looking forward to a sweet treat when Cinderella wraps.
PERRY EGAN (17) Perry has danced for three years performing roles ranging from Arabian Dance and The Rat King in The Nutcracker to Demetrius (Red Lover) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. His dream role is to perform as James Ruben in La Sylphide. Perry loves the excitement and anticipation of every performance and being able to see what’s happening behind the scenes. When he isn’t dancing, Perry can be found performing lead theater roles such as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, and a twin brother in Comedy of Errors. When Cinderella wraps, Perry is looking forward to taking a nap before staring work on the next production.
SHANE EGAN Shane has five years of dance experience and has performed several roles from Mother Ginger in The Nutcracker, to Burgermeister in Coppélia, to Lysander (Blue Lover) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and dreams of performing the role of Willy Wonka or the Mad Hatter. Shane loves the challenges and beauty ballet offers as well as the amazement one experiences when watching dancers perform difficult techniques. Shane is a proud father to three daughters and believes they are the most important point in life. When Cinderella concludes, Shane looks forward to editing the show’s photographs and taking more classes to improve his technique.
MARI ESPLIN (15) Mari stepped into the ballet studio at age seven. Eight years later, Mari continues to love the expressiveness ballet provides combined with visual and musical art. She has danced several roles throughout her time on stage including Helena (Demetrius’ lover) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and the Fairy of Joy in The Sleeping Beauty. Mari’s dream role is Giselle in Giselle or anything in Swan Lake. Mari is proud of earning ballet solos over the years and looks forward to continuing her ballet training when Cinderella concludes. Mari will be attending the BYU Ballroom Dance Camp this summer.
ISAAC EVERETT (22) Dancer Isaac, in his sixth year of ballet, has performed several roles including Franz in Coppélia, The Nutcracker in The Nutcracker, and The Prince in this year’s production of Cinderella. His dream role is to dance as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. Isaac’s love of ballet encompasses the physical demands, dedication, and purpose, which allows females the experience of partner-dancing and provides a showcase for the community. Isaac celebrates and expresses himself without fear and is looking forward to rest, slowing down (for a minute), and allowing time for a breath when Cinderella wraps.
SOPHIE FAWSON (16) Sophie is in her seventh year of dance. During her time in ballet, Sophie has performed the roles of Mirliton (Dance of the Reed Flutes) and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. She dreams of dancing as Myrtha in Giselle one day. Sophie loves that ballet can bring joy to her and others. When Sophie is not in the ballet studio, she participates in her high school’s speech and debate team and is a Debate State Tournament champion. After Cinderella, she looks forward to sleeping and having space in her brain for free thinking.
SHERAL FISH Sheral first participated with Cedar City Junior Ballet in 2004 alongside her children. Several years later, she’s back performing the role of The Wicked Stepmother in this year’s production of Cinderella. Sheral is proud of the support she offered her own children as they danced and has a love for the athleticism, grace, and strength ballet requires of dancers. When Cinderella concludes, Sheral looks forward to spending the summer in Idaho.
RACHEL HANSEN (18) Rachel is in her twelfth year of dance where she performed Mirliton (Dance of the Reed Flutes) in The Nutcracker and danced in the Snowflake and Flower corps de ballet. Her dream role is Willis in Giselle or the Swan corps in Swan Lake. Rachel loves the challenge ballet offers as well as the beautiful performances. Rachel successfully completed her Medical Assistant certification and is looking forward to serving a mission for her church when Cinderella wraps.
ENDRICA HARDWICK Endrica loves ballet and the grace, beauty, technique, discipline, focus, determination, and learning process it provides. She believes dance disciplines apply to life allowing one to better their craft and self. Having danced for fifty-eight years, Endrica is proud to perform the role of Winter Fairy in Cinderella and dreams of dancing as the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker. When Endrica is not in the dance studio, she enjoys retirement after a successful career as a software engineer. She continues to find her purpose of sharing the joy of dance through Cedar City Salsa Dance where she passes on her expertise, knowledge, and the joy of dance with others. When Cinderella concludes, Endrica is looking forward to some rest and a Hermie’s hamburger.
LYNNETTE IMLAY Lynnette has over thirty years of dance experience and loves the camaraderie and artistry ballet encompasses. She performed several roles throughout her career including Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, Aurora and Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, Titania and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Prayer in Coppélia. Her dream role is to perform as Odette in Swan Lake. Lynnette’s knowledge and mastery of technical and performance aspects of theater was achieved through community work and touring groups. She has directed four full-length ballets at CCJB (and performed in many more). Once Cinderella wraps, Lynnette is looking forward to spending more time with her husband and creating/directing a brand new CCJB production, Danse Macabre.
JAYLEE JOSEPH (15) Jaylee began dancing at the age of six and loves ballet and the story it tells. She has performed in a variety of roles including the Arabian and Russian Dance in The Nutcracker and as a Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jaylee’s dream ballet role is to perform as Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. When Jaylee isn’t in the ballet studio, she can be found dancing with her high school drill team. After production for Cinderella wraps, Jaylee looks forward to starting rehearsals for a seasonal performance of The Nutcracker.
